Szilvia Haber (1971-HUNGARY)
She lives in Budapest and she is a teacher in Secondary School of Applied
and Fine Arts. Haber works this school as a head of department. She works
ceramic and porcelain material in her design. And she is also terrazzo desig-
ner. She participated many exhibitions. Some of them are 2007 „Le pichet”,
Carouge, Switzerland, 2009 WAMP „Soft is the new cool”, Extremely Hungary
Festival, New York, Hungarian Institute, 2010 „New Purchases”, Museum of
Applied Arts, Budapest, Hungary, 2015 1st Hungarian Figurine Quadrenni-
al, Modern Art Gallery, Pécs, Hungary, 2018 Generations - Masters and those
students, ICS, Kecskemét, Hungary. Szilvia Haber has 6 awards. Her awards:
1998 Industrial Design Award, Hungarian Design Council, 2008 2nd Interna-
tional Triennial of Silicate Arts, International Ceramics Studio Emerging Artist
Award, 2014 “Artist of Month” award of mayor’s office of 22nd district of Bu-
dapest, 2014 “Code universe” Design Competition’s prize, 2016 Ferenczy Noé-
mi Award, Ministry of Human Capacities, 2017 5th International Triennial of
Silicate Arts, Hungarian ceramic industry representatives 3rd Prize Award.
